Richard D. Owen
Mr. Owen’s practice focuses on civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. His practice ranges from personal injury matters to complex commercial litigation, including antitrust and qui tam actions. Mr. Owen also handles employment disputes on behalf of employees and employers, and assists clients in drafting employment policies. In addition, he assists clients in commercial transactions and general corporate matters for clients ranging from large business organizations to sole proprietorships.
Ky is married to Tammy Owen. He moonlights as an author, having published “None Call Me Dad” as well as several creative nonfiction pieces. Ky and Tammy have a son, Aaron Owen, and several “surrogates” – Sierra Ferrell, Justin Hannigan, Brooke Willard, Cody Seafler and Haley “Cabrina” Arthur.

Representing banks, mortgage lenders, servicers and finance companies in litigation, both as lead counsel and local counsel
Counseling businesses regarding employment matters and policies
Counseling clients in commercial transactions and contract matters, including acquisitions, limited liability company and partnership agreements, real estate leases, and related matters
Representing contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in mechanic’s lien claims
Representing clients in connection with appeals in state and federal court
